Top Projects of 2021
2021 was a year of many changes and unexpected turns, but with it came an array of home trends and projects that have soared past many others we have seen. While we have loved each and every project from the past year, we can’t share them all, so below are our top 5 favorite projects from 2021.
5. Girl & Grey
Courtney with @girlandgrey was tired of looking at her “ugly” pine beams that she had in her loft guest space currently. She knew it was time for a change, and what other perfect time for that change than in the Fall of 2021.
Transforming her entire loft space, Courtney took the space from a 1900s styled room into a fully functional guest space the includes a beautiful kitchenette, a lounge area, and a comfy bed.
The added Ambrosia Maple Beams along with the black beam brackets bring in such a beautiful warmth and wood tone texture that complements the newly revamped space perfectly. These beams brought in so much life to a space that desperately needed a refresh, and the final reveal looks incredible.

4. Homemade By Carmona
Ursula Carmona with @homemadebycarmona took on the Fall One Room Challenge this year as a Featured Designer, and her space did not disappoint. Choosing an outdoor shed to revamp, this project stands to be one of the most unique we have seen come out of this challenge. Throughout the 8 week challenge, she took a “messy old shed into a stunning garden house with artist studio and greenhouse.”
Utilizing OML24 Baseboards and 1540-8 Covertrim Crown, Ursula created a beautiful shed that is still very practical for her needs. She also utilized Decorative Shelf Brackets to give her gorgeous shelving a special look.

3. Beth Diana Smith
Beth with @bethdianasmith is the CEO + Principal Designer of Beth Diana Smith Interior Design, and she was also chosen as a Featured Designer for the Fall One Room Challenge this year. For this challenge, she decided to take on her bedroom to create a space that she would love.
She took decorative moulding to a whole new level in this project. Using multiple profiles from our Decorative Moulding selection, she created a stunning and moody space complete with Picture Frame Moulding and a DIY fluted accent wall that she created using our 846 Casing.

2. Pennies For A Fortune
Completing not just one, but two projects with products from Novo Building Products, Fariha with @pennies_for_a_fortune created beautiful bedrooms this past year.
In January, Fariha decided to take on her bedroom in her home and completely transformed the space by adding a reeded accent wall, shiplap to the ceiling, and Rustic Ambrosia Maple Faux Beams to her ceiling, giving her space a gorgeous natural wood grain texture. These beams along with Shiplap from Empire Moulding and Millwork create a beautiful, fresh aesthetic in her room.
The end result was a stunning space that was a fan favorite across all of her followers.
1. Haneen’s Haven
Haneen Matt with @Haneens_Haven took on the One Room Challenge back in the Spring as a Featured Designer, and she completely renovated her bathroom.
Wanting to create both a more modern and unique look, Haneen began her project by planning everything out and drawing plans on notepads. She knew she wanted to use Ambrosia Maple Beams on her ceiling, but what she didn’t know at the beginning was how she would create the beautiful accent wall. After exploring Ornamental’s product offering, she stumbled upon our Corbels and the DIY project came to life. She utilized these Corbels in a unique way to bring a gorgeous touch to the already beautiful space.
The end result is a view that will never get old. Read more on this project on our blog; One Room Challenge Reveal.
