The One Room Challenge
Every year, Novo Building Products participates as a sponsor in the One Room Challenge. This event features 20 designers that take up the challenge of renovating or redesigning a room in their home over the course of 8 weeks. Each week, the audience receives an update on their social media about the progress of the room, along with the products they are using.
“The One Room Challenge™, currently in its nineteenth season, is a widely anticipated biannual event every April and October. Each round, twenty design influencers are selected to take the challenge, as Featured Designers, and transform a space. Every Wednesday, the designers document their process while sharing their sources and professional advice over six weekly posts.” Learn more about the ORC on their website.
While we can’t show what is in the works for the challenge next month, we can display a recap of just a few of the designers we have worked with in the past.
Studio Plumb
Rebecca Plumb of Studio Plumb decided to take on her bedroom to create a more cohesive space that represented her. The end result did not disappoint.
“The striking sawtooth crown and base moulding from Ornamental Moulding makes the ceilings feel taller than 8 feet and it looks so polished. I took a gamble and painted the crown and ceiling a pale, muddy blush that I’m completely in love with.”

Homme Boys
Hommeboys; a design duo out of Sonoma San Francisco, chose to remodel their master bedroom/bathroom and hallway (a big project for just six weeks). By incorporating their cozy yet eclectic style, they were able to transform the space with rich earthy colors, soft textures, and ornate lines accented by our Sawtooth Moulding Collection.
By using warm earthy colors, round shapes, and light-colored wood they created a space that is modern yet cozy. Our Sawtooth base and crown moulding complete the space by grounding all the unique patterns with simple clean lines. Read their full bedroom reveal on their blog!
Are you ready to see more of these fun projects? Follow along on our social media channels beginning May 8th to watch some incredible designers transform different rooms in their homes in just 8 short weeks.
