Enhance Your Ceiling With Ambrosia Maple Beams

Annie with @Zevyjoy has been hard at work making her brand new house a home this past year. From installing ceiling beams and board and batten to completely renovating her kitchen space, she has completely transformed this home into her own in the short time she has had it.

With every room in her home that she tackled, she became one step closer to creating the house of her dreams. This Summer, she just had one project left - adding ceiling beams to the final room in her home. Check out how she transformed her living room with ceiling beams below.

The Plan

After making many changes to her living room space including beautiful coastal decor and a stunning floor-to-ceiling board and batten detail, Annie knew there was just one thing missing that special touch - the ceiling. Luckily, she knew exactly what she wanted to do with it to blend it in with the rest of her home, and that was to add Ambrosia Maple Beams.

“For starters, I stained these beams special walnut before installing. This is the very same stain that we have on the beams throughout the rest of the house. Installing the beams is a two-person job, so Ty and I measured out where each faux beam would go, we used a chalk line to mark out the locations. Then we screwed in the mounting plates to the ceiling.”

Products Used

Annie utilized the same beams that she used in her living room to complete her kitchen redesign, except this time she used the larger size to accommodate for her taller ceilings. These 5x5 Ambrosia Maple Beams gave the ceiling some much-needed texture and dimension.

“It feels so inviting and while the ceilings are still very tall, it just makes things a bit more cozy/finished.”

Finished Space

Once the beams were installed, the space instantly came together into the look Annie dreamed of. The beautiful dark beams contrasted with the white board and batten accent are stunning in her living room.

“The faux beams really create the look I was hoping for and have dreamed of since moving into this house. Each time I use these faux beams in a project, I am repeatedly impressed with the quality too. It is such a great way to customize your home and add interest.”
